Foodbank use is rarely the root problem. It is often a visible sign of deeper, unresolved issues such as:
benefit delays,
debt enforcement,
housing instability or
health-related income loss.
Delivered in partnership with Hillingdon Foodbank and the Trussell Trust, this project responds to acute financial crisis while addressing the underlying causes that drive repeat food insecurity.

Once you attend Hillingdon Foodbank to collect your immediate help food parcel, you can access additional advice from one of our advisers on the premises (book your appointment beforehand).

Who this is for
This service supports residents who are finding it difficult to provide for themselves or their families. Often, a combination of financial hardship and other personal circumstances can leave people feeling overwhelmed and unsure where to turn, including needing to access a foodbank.

At Citizens Advice Hillingdon, we believe that support shouldn't stop at a food parcel. Our holistic support project looks at the whole picture, helping local residents in need address the underlying issues behind a crisis, from debt and welfare benefits to housing problems and the rising cost of living.
Since launching, we've helped hundreds of Hillingdon residents move beyond emergency support towards greater financial stability, working alongside partners like Hillingdon Foodbank, Trussell, and The National Lottery Community Fund to reach even more people who need us.
