As Times Change, So Must We: Introducing Our New Design Website and Our Evolving Approach
Change is a constant in our community — and at Citizens Advice Hillingdon, we believe our services must evolve alongside the people we support. Today, we’re excited to welcome you to our newly designed website, created to make vital information clearer, easier to navigate and more accessible for every resident who needs us.

But this redesign is more than a fresh look. It reflects a deeper shift in how we work.

Why We’ve Evolved?
Over recent years, the needs of Hillingdon residents have changed significantly. Our data shows rising complexity linked to disability, insecure housing, low‑paid work, poor health, and the ongoing cost‑of‑living crisis. These pressures don’t exist in isolation — they compound, creating deeper harm for those already facing disadvantage.

In response, we have moved from a high‑volume, generalist advice model to a specialist, evidence‑led approach. This means:

prioritising depth over volume

focusing on advocacy, casework and outcomes

directing our resources toward residents facing the greatest harm

using data, insight and lived experience to influence change.

This shift reflects our commitment to working through a lens of vulnerability, ensuring that those most affected by inequality receive sustained, expert support.

Who We Are Today?
Citizens Advice Hillingdon remains an independent local charity and a proud member of the national Citizens Advice network. Membership supports our quality, governance and advice standards — but we are responsible for securing our own funding to deliver services locally.

We now operate as a specialist advice organisation, providing free, confidential support and delivering targeted projects for residents facing the most complex barriers to justice. Much of this work is linked to health, disability, financial insecurity and the systems that shape people’s lives.

By combining frontline insight, data and community voice, we aim not only to reduce harm for individuals but also to influence wider change across Hillingdon.

A Website Designed for You.
Our new website has been built with accessibility, clarity and community needs at its heart. Whether you’re looking for advice, information about our projects, or ways to get involved, we want your experience to be simple, intuitive and supportive.

We would genuinely value your thoughts on how we can continue improving. Your feedback helps us make sure that vital information reaches the people who need it most.

Looking Ahead...
As times change, so must we — and this redesign marks another step in our ongoing commitment to adapt, listen and respond to the needs of our community.

We hope you enjoy exploring the new website, and we look forward to continuing this journey with you.
