Our New Project: Connected Communties with it's first event: a Financial Resilience Community Day launches on Tuesday, 28th of April 2026, at Harefield Library, Village Hall.
Connected Communities Launches in Hillingdon: Supporting Local Residents with its first event called Financial Resilience

Citizens Advice Hillingdon is excited to announce the launch of Connected Communities - a borough‑wide outreach project designed to bring practical support, advice and local services into trusted community spaces. Our goal is simple: make it easier for residents to access the help they need, in places that feel familiar and welcoming.

To mark the start of this initiative, we’re hosting our first community event focused on Financial Resilience — a theme that reflects the challenges many households are facing and the support available to help them navigate rising costs.

Why Connected Communities?

By bringing Citizens Advice Hillingdon and partner organisations into local venues, we aim to strengthen community connections, improve access to services, and empower residents with the tools they need to manage everyday pressures.

Each Connected Community event will focus on a different theme, shaped by local needs. Our first theme — Financial Resilience — is one of the most pressing issues for households today.

Building Stronger, More Connected Communities

Connected Communities is about more than events — it’s about strengthening relationships, improving access to support and helping residents feel confident and connected.

Through this project, we aim to:

help people access advice earlier

build confidence in managing finances and navigating services

identify residents who need further help and connect them to specialist support

strengthen links between residents and local organisations

We’re looking forward to welcoming residents, partners and community groups to this first event — and to many more Connected Communities days throughout the year.
