Reaching New Audiences Through Community Radio- with Akash Radio
This week, Citizens Advice Hillingdon is joining forces with Akash Radio to talk about our Foodbank Advice Project and raise awareness of the support available to local residents struggling to make ends meet.
The interview will help us reach new audiences across Hillingdon and surrounding communities, offering listeners clear information about the free advice available alongside foodbank support, and how to access it.
The programme will be broadcast in both English and Punjabi, ensuring important information is accessible to more members of our community.
Why Community Radio Matters
Community radio plays an important role in connecting organisations with residents who may not traditionally access advice services.
By working with trusted local media partners such as Akash Radio, we can ensure more people know about the free, confidential and independent support available through Citizens Advice Hillingdon.
Support Through Our Foodbank Advice Project
If you're finding it hard to cover essential costs, or have been given a foodbank voucher and would like support with the wider issues behind it, our Foodbank Advice Project may be able to help.
We support residents facing issues such as:
cost of living pressures and priority bill arrears,
debt, including rent, council tax and utility arrears,
welfare benefit problems, including challenging decisions and benefit checks, or
housing issues, including disrepair, rent increases and the risk of eviction.
