Citizens Advice Hillingdon Is Gathering Residents' Experiences: We Want to hear from you 🗣️
From April 2026, changes to Hillingdon's Council Tax Reduction Scheme mean some residents are paying more Council Tax than before. The removal of some protections for disabled residents, including some people receiving Personal Independence Payment (PIP), and changes to non-dependant deductions may have increased bills for many working-age households.

Citizens Advice Hillingdon is collecting evidence to better understand how these changes are affecting local people and to ensure residents' experiences are heard by decision-makers.

We Want to Hear From You

If your Council Tax bill has increased, we'd like to hear about:

How your bill has changed
Whether you were informed about the changes
The financial impact on your household
How it has affected your wellbeing or ability to cover essential costs
Any support you've received
Any concerns or complaints you've raised

Your experience will help us demonstrate the real impact these changes are having on residents across Hillingdon, particularly disabled people, low-income households and other vulnerable groups.

Share Your Story

Every story helps build a clearer picture of how these changes are affecting our community and supports our work to campaign for a fairer Council Tax Reduction Scheme.
