Our latest community advice session at Hayes Muslim Centre showed the difference that accessible, face-to-face advice can make. Working in a trusted community setting, our advisors and volunteers were able to provide vital support to local people facing a wide range of challenges.
Our advisors and volunteers responded to an incredible 99 enquiries during the session. Our specialist advisors provided support across employment law, welfare, housing and benefits, as well as helping people access other services and practical support where needed.

Housing was once again one of the most common issues raised, highlighting the very real pressures facing people in our communities.

The event was also a great opportunity for our volunteers to build their confidence and gain valuable live experience, working alongside our specialist advisors in a supportive community setting.

A huge thank you to our staff and volunteers, and the Hayes Muslim Centre for their warm welcome, hospitality and support throughout the day.

With requests already coming in for more sessions, we hope to be back again soon!

99 enquiries, specialist advice and a fantastic community partnership. 💚
