Citizens Advice Hillingdon and Brunel Legal Advice Centre delivered informative sessions on housing and employment rights, bringing together local residents, students, volunteers and staff to improve awareness of legal rights and available support.
On 9 June 2026, Citizens Advice Hillingdon and Brunel Legal Advice Centre came together to deliver a free community event focused on housing and employment rights. We were pleased to welcome local residents, Brunel Law students, university staff, Citizens Advice staff and volunteers for a day of learning, advice and support.
Attendees took part in informative sessions covering housing and employment rights, alongside opportunities to access free advice and guidance. The event enabled residents to receive practical information, early support and signposting to relevant services, including Foodbank support where needed.
The event also provided valuable learning opportunities for Brunel Law students and Citizens Advice volunteers, helping to develop their knowledge, confidence and practical experience while strengthening future support available across the borough.
We look forward to building on this successful partnership with Brunel Legal Advice Centre and delivering more community empowerment events in the near future. This event was delivered through our Connected Communities Project, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, these events help us bring advice and support directly into local communities.
