Carers Week is a national campaign celebrating unpaid carers and raising awareness of the challenges they face. It also encourages organisations and professionals to identify carers early so they can receive the support they need to maintain their wellbeing and continue in their caring role safely.
Citizens Advice Hillingdon colleagues were pleased to take part in this year’s Carers Week event, share their advice and expertise, joining partners across the borough to recognise and support unpaid carers. This annual campaign highlights the vital role carers play and the importance of early identification and support.
This Year’s Theme: Building Carer Friendly Communities
The 2026 theme focused on creating communities where carers feel recognised, understood and supported. Carer friendly communities help reduce isolation, improve access to information and ensure carers are connected to services that can make a real difference.
