Specialist advice. Evidence-led insight. Systems change in Hillingdon.
Citizens Advice Hillingdon is an independent local charity and a member of the national Citizens Advice network. Membership supports our quality, governance and advice standards, while we remain responsible for securing our own funding to deliver services locally.
We provide free, confidential advice and deliver targeted, specialist projects for residents facing the most complex barriers to justice, often linked to health, disability and financial insecurity.
In response to changes in local commissioning and rising complexity of need, we have moved away from a generalist open-door model. We now work as a specialist, evidence-led advice organisation, combining frontline insight, data and lived experience to reduce harm and influence change across Hillingdon.
Why CAH is different?
Over recent years, demand in Hillingdon has shifted. Our data shows rising complexity linked to disability, insecure housing, low-paid work, poor health and the cost-of-living crisis.
In response, we have moved from a high-volume generalist model to a specialist, evidence-led approach, prioritising depth, advocacy and outcomes for those facing the greatest harm.
This shift reflects our commitment to working through a lens of vulnerability, focusing our resources where harm is deepest and sustained support can make the greatest difference.
