Real Impact: A Client’s Story
Miriam aged 49, living alone and housebound due to health issues, was struggling with low income, mounting energy bills, and housing disrepair.
Through our project:
She secured an extra £76.40 per week via the Severe Disability Premium, adding £3,972.80 annually to her income.
She accessed £140 in energy vouchers and applied for hardship funds to reduce her debt.
We supported her in raising a formal housing complaint, resulting in long-overdue repairs.
We helped her access £300 from the Household Support Fund to buy a new cooker.
“I’m so grateful for the support - now I can manage without the food bank.”
