We are recruiting a Generalist Adviser to provide advice on benefits, debt, housing, and employment. The role includes casework, outreach, supporting individuals with mental health challenges, and managing a varied workload across multiple channels. The successful candidate will also contribute to social policy work to improve outcomes for vulnerable clients.
The successful candidate
Will work within our advice team, delivering high-quality generic advice and casework on benefits, debt, and housing etc. Clients access the service by phone, face-to-face, and email. The role also involves providing outreach services in community settings.
You will demonstrate
You will have highly developed listening, communication, and interpersonal skills to handle emotional and complex situations, balancing empathy with professionalism. Strong technical knowledge, a flexible approach to work, and a commitment to equality and Citizens Advice quality standards are essential, ensuring efficient and consistent delivery to meet targets.
