Who we are?

Citizens Advice Hillingdon is an independent charity, rooted in the borough and accountable to the communities we serve.

Our approach:

Specialist advice for complex needs.

Evidence-led decision-making.

Strong governance and safeguarding.

Collaboration, not duplication.

A diverse, community-rooted organisation with lived experience
reflected across staff, volunteers and trustees.

Vision

A fairer Hillingdon where:

immediate needs are met,

unjust systems are challenged, and

communities are strong enough to resist future
vulnerability.

Mission

We work through the lens of vulnerability:

to relieve immediate hardship,

influence fairer policy, and

strengthen communities,

creating lasting change through collaboration
and evidence.

Values

Justice, impartiality and confidentiality.

Respect and dignity for all.

Equality, diversity and inclusion.

Community-rooted and collaborative.

Evidence-led and impactful.

Our role in Hillingdon

We are no longer a generalist provider of all advice. Our role is to deliver specialist support, amplify evidence from the frontline and contribute to fairer local systems.

Governance & safeguarding

We operate within national Citizens Advice quality standards, with robust safeguarding, supervision and trustee oversight.
