to join our Board and help shape our future.

The Opportunity 

 
We seek to recruit progressive and startegic  
Trustees and  
A Deputy Chair,  
to join our Board at a time of significant modernisation and growth. Working closely with the Chair, fellow Trustees and the Chief Executive.  
You will play a key role in shaping our governance and strategic direction, as we launch our new business operating model this year. 
 
You will help ensure the organisation remains agile, digitally confident and well equipped for the future. This is a meaningful opportunity to be part of positive change, influencing board processes, strengthening good governance and helping Hillingdon Citizens Advice continue to deliver impact for the community. 
 

What we are looking for? 

 
Up to five new Trustees and a Deputy Chair are being sought who bring strong critical thinking alongside a collaborative and inclusive approach. This opportunity will appeal to individuals motivated by social justice and ready to help shape and strengthen the systems that make fairness, support and access possible for our community. 
 
Professional expertise and lived experience are equally valued, recognising that insight from personal experience strengthens informed decision-making. Applications are welcomed from people of all religions, employment statuses, ages and levels of experience, and first-time board applicants, particularly those bringing lived experience in one or more of the following fields are encouraged to apply
 
 
HR & People Management 
Finance 
Communications 
Fundraising Experience 

What can you bring to the table? 

 
Confidence with digital tools and processes to help modernise how the board and organisation works. 
Strong communication and relationship-building skills. 
Sound judgement, independence of thought and a commitment to collective governance. 
Experience in either finance, HR, law, fundraising or campaigning (voluntary or professional). However all levels of experience will be considered. 
A willingness to dedicate time and energy to advancing the aims and principles of Hillingdon Citizens Advice.
