The Refugee and Asylum Seeker Project (RASP) opened to the public in January 2001. It has specific information in various languages for asylum seekers and refugees.

The project is based in the Hayes Office but is a resource for the whole borough and takes referrals from the other offices and external organisations.

RASP has seen clients from a variety of countries including Afghanistan, Burma, Eritrea, India, Iraq, Iran, Kosovo, Poland, Somalia and Sudan. The main areas of casework have been assisting people accessing support through benefits, National Asylum Support Service or the Local Authority; immigration, housing and health.
